When is Frieze Abu Dhabi 2026 and who can go?
The fair is on 19 to 22 November. Thursday 19 November is invitation only. The public days are Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November, 2 pm to 9 pm each day, the fair says.
The older Abu Dhabi Art website gives 20 to 22 November for the same edition. That is the public part. The Frieze site counts the Thursday preview in its own dates.
The fair is a new name for an old event. The Abu Dhabi Art site says its 17th edition in 2025 was the last under that name. Frieze runs the new fair with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and Dyala Nusseibeh is listed as its director.
The fair sits in the Saadiyat Cultural District, which is also home to the new Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. Our Guggenheim Abu Dhabi guide covers that museum’s opening date and prices.
The organisers’ preview, dated 1 November, names 89 exhibitors from 37 countries and regions. They sit in four sections: Galleries, Focus, Frieze Masters Abu Dhabi and Global Futures.
Which ticket to book, who gets in free and what it costs
There are two main kinds of ticket. Multi Day Access covers Friday to Sunday. General Admission is a single entry for one day and one time slot, and the fair says there is strictly no re-entry on it.
- Multi Day Access lets you re-enter from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November, as long as you are scanned out when you leave.
- General Admission on Friday covers 2 pm to 9 pm.
- General Admission on Saturday or Sunday comes in two slots, 2 pm to 5 pm or 5 pm to 9 pm.
- A discounted single entry is offered to visitors aged 12 to 25.
Entry is tied to the date and time on your ticket. Last admission is at 8:30 pm, and latecomers are not let in.

The tickets page says Early Bird tickets have sold out, while full-price tickets were still on sale when we read it.
Limited student tickets go first come, first served, and holders must show a valid student ID. Children under 12 enter free, with a ticket and an adult at all times. People of Determination and their companions get free tickets, collected at the ticket desk with a valid ID.
Bookings go through the Abu Dhabi culture ticket site. Its listing for the fair shows a price range of 0.00 to 236.25 with no currency printed. We could not see a price for each ticket type, so we do not give one.
Getting to Manarat Al Saadiyat and what to bring
The visitor page gives separate road directions for drivers from Abu Dhabi and from Dubai. Both end on Sheikh Khalifa Highway (E12), with different exits for parking and for drop-off.
From Abu Dhabi city, follow the signs for Yas Island from the Mina Port area and cross the Sheikh Khalifa bridge to Saadiyat. Parking is Exit 7 towards Jacques Chirac Street. Drop-off is Exit 9 towards Laffan Street.

From Dubai, take the Saadiyat Island and Yas Island exit onto E12 and drive across Yas Island. Parking is Exit 12 towards Jacques Chirac Street. Drop-off is Exit 11, towards Laffan Street.
Our Dubai to Abu Dhabi guide compares the ways to make that trip. If you would rather not drive, our Abu Dhabi taxi guide covers fares and booking.
The bag rules are strict. Suitcases, folding bicycles, scooters and anything bigger than a handbag or laptop bag are refused at the door, and so are large backpacks. A backpack must be no larger than 20 cm by 20 cm by 10 cm.

The cloakroom is small.
Food, drink, glass, sharp items, drones, laser pens and motorised items with a lithium battery may not be brought in. You can buy food and drink inside, and the fair says licensed bars are open. The visitor page names Badou, Mysk, Ether and LOCAL among the restaurants it points to.
What we could not confirm
Six points stayed open after our reading of the fair’s own pages. We have not filled them with figures from other sites.
- The price of each ticket type, and the currency behind the 0.00 to 236.25 range.
- Any shuttle or public transport to Saadiyat for the fair.
- Whether the parking at Exit 7 or Exit 12 is free or charged.
- How many tickets each time slot holds.
- The times of talks, performances or guided tours.
- Which of the 89 exhibitors will show on which day.
