Canelo vs Mbilli is set for Saturday 31 October 2026 at The Venue in Riyadh, with the main event listed for 3 AM Saudi time. That is 04:00 in the UAE on Sunday morning, and tickets start at about $13.
A security alert has put the date in doubt, though as of 6 October nothing official had changed. We checked the ticketing page and the reports on 8 October 2026. Plan around the dates below, and expect them to move if the situation does.

The Canelo vs Mbilli fight
It is a WBC super middleweight title fight, and BoxingInsider lists Christian Mbilli (29-0-1, 24 KOs) as champion against Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs). Mbilli was elevated to full champion on 27 January after Terence Crawford vacated, so Alvarez enters as the challenger.
The card is billed “Mexico vs. The World” and is part of Riyadh Season.
Only the main event is officially attached to it, according to BoxingInsider, which names WBO featherweight champion Rafael Espinoza as a reported addition.
The fight was first set for 12 September. It moved after a family matter delayed Alvarez’s training camp, and the new date was confirmed by the WBC. Alvarez is 36 and Mbilli is 31.
Canelo vs Mbilli tickets and prices
Tickets are sold through webook, Riyadh Season’s ticketing platform, in four categories. Prices are shown in US dollars and include VAT, and we added the riyal figures at the 3.75 peg.
| Category | Price (USD) | About (SAR) |
|---|---|---|
| GA2 | 13.33 | 50 |
| GA1 | 26.67 | 100 |
| Platinum | 80 | 300 |
| Diamond | 106.67 | 400 |
Children aged 6 and over can enter general admission, and VIP categories need 16 and over. Tickets cannot be resold, and you cannot re-enter after leaving, which matters on a card that may run into the early hours.
Prices are non-refundable. The exception matters this month: the ticket price is refunded if the organiser cancels, postpones or changes the date.
Professional cameras are banned, and the terms ask for adherence to Saudi public taste and values.
Is the fight still on?
Yahoo Sports reported on 6 October that the fight was in doubt after a security alert. It said the US Mission in Saudi Arabia warned on 5 October of possible drone or missile attacks, citing EssentiallySports.
Yahoo also said no official announcement had cancelled, postponed or moved the fight as of 6 October. We found none after that date. We did not read the alert itself.
If you are travelling from the UAE, check webook and the official announcements shortly before you book anything, because flights and hotels are the costly part and are not covered by the ticket refund. What we could not confirm
Several details that readers ask about are not in any source we read, and we have left them out rather than guess at them.
- A UAE or Saudi broadcaster. One boxing writer expects pay-per-view on DAZN, but that is his own plan, not an announcement.
- The undercard beyond the main event.
- Whether the 3 AM time holds, since it is second-hand and the ticket page lists only 19:00 as the event time.
- Any move of venue or date after 6 October.
