AYA Universe Dubai is an immersive light-and-sound attraction on the first floor of Wafi City, and a walk-in ticket costs AED 135, according to the operator’s own ticket page.
On 28 October 2026 we went through that page, the operator’s FAQs, the Wafi City page and the main resale listings. We have not visited. Sources disagree on opening times and visit length, and each clash is flagged below.
One rule matters before payment. Refunds are not allowed under any circumstances.

| Opening hours | Sunday to Thursday 10am to 10pm; Friday and Saturday 10am to 12am |
| Last entry | One hour before closing |
| Visit length | 60 to 90 minutes on the ticket page; a two-hour window in the FAQ |
| Refunds | Not allowed under any circumstances |
| Booking | Fever is the ticketing partner; a mobile ticket is enough |
Tickets and passes, with the sums
The operator lists five tickets, from AED 135 for one entry to AED 399 for four guests. The savings on the passes are smaller than the labels suggest once the arithmetic is done.
| Ticket | Price (AED) | What it covers | The sum |
|---|---|---|---|
| AYA Universe | 135 | One guest, all ages | The baseline |
| Flex Pass | 175 | Visit any day, valid one week | AED 175 against 135 for a standard entry |
| Discover Pass | 225 | AYA plus House of Hype, valid 30 days, “limited time” | Two entries would cost 270, so it saves 45 |
| NOVA VIP | From 299 | Guided tour for 2 to 6 guests | The page does not say whether the price is per person |
| Family Pass | 399 | Four guests, all ages | Four singles would cost 540, so it saves 141 |
The FAQ says AYA has no offer for families, yet the ticket page lists the Family Pass. Treat the ticket page as current. Confirm the price at checkout.
Resale prices vary. A Trip.com listing showed US$45.87, about AED 168, which is above the AED 135 walk-in price, and it was non-refundable. One Tripadvisor reviewer wrote that a third-party app saved about 30%, though that review is undated and we could not repeat the saving. Compare Fever with resellers on the day of booking.
Opening hours and how long a visit takes
AYA’s own site gives 10am to 10pm from Sunday to Thursday and 10am to 12am on Friday and Saturday. Last entry is one hour before closing.
The Wafi City page tells a different story: 10am to 8pm from Sunday to Thursday, with last entry at 7pm. Its Friday and Saturday line gives 8am as the closing time, which looks like a typo. We could not tell which version is current. Rely on the operator’s site, and call +971 4 542 0300 if the hour matters.
Visit length has three answers. The ticket page says 60 to 90 minutes, the Wafi page says 90-minute journeys and the FAQ mentions a two-hour ticket window. Tickets are timed to limit numbers inside, so book a slot that fits the whole party.
What is inside: the twelve zones
AYA has twelve zones, each a themed chamber of light, sound or movement, from The River and Harmonia to Celestia and Drift. The lines below paraphrase the operator’s own descriptions, since we have not walked through them.
- The River and The Pool: a colour-storm bridge, and an energy vortex that visitors stand on.
- The Source and Flora: gardens with infinity pools and a dome, and a bioluminescent garden whose light show Wafi City puts at six minutes.
- Harmonia: a robotic orchestra that builds structures of light.
- Tides, Luna and Outland: rippling pillars, shimmering moons, and shape-shifting waves of colour.
- The Falls: a waterfall visitors can jump through, billed as defying gravity.
- Aurora and Drift: movement that makes cosmic portraits, and a space to lie among stars.
- Celestia: a sea of glowing orbs, which Wafi City describes as Dubai’s largest immersive ball pit.
A passport collects stickers zone by zone, according to a Tripadvisor reviewer who took a seven-year-old. The Discover Pass adds House of Hype, a separate attraction whose location the operator’s pages do not give.
Rules that catch visitors out
The FAQ sets a handful of rules that matter on the day. The costliest is the refund rule, and the oddest is that re-entry is not allowed as standard.
- Refunds: not allowed under any circumstances.
- Changes: date or time changes are allowed up to 48 hours before the start, subject to availability, through customer service or the Fever app.
- Re-entry: not permitted as standard, though the FAQ says it will be accommodated if capacity allows.
- Food and drink: only sealed water bottles are allowed in.
- Photos: non-flash photography and video are fine, and professional photography is not.
- Ball pit: socks are required, and use is restricted to visitors 1 metre tall or more.
- Light and sound: flashing or strobing effects may not suit guests with photosensitive epilepsy, and the operator warns about loud noise and dark spaces.
- Free entry: children under 3, and People of Determination, who may also request a second free ticket for one caregiver. Proof of eligibility may be asked.
- Dress code: none.
Getting to AYA Universe Dubai
AYA is on Level One of the main atrium at Wafi City, at the top of the escalators. The operator gives a six-minute walk from Dubai Healthcare City station on the Metro Green Line, plus on-site parking at Carrefour or Wafi valet.
Booking.com, a reseller, puts the walk at eight minutes. For fares and passes, see our Dubai Metro fare guide. Wafi City Mall has more than 2,500 covered spaces, and the valet fee is described only as nominal. Street parking works differently, as our Dubai parking timings page explains.
Who AYA Universe suits, and who should skip it
AYA suits families with young children, groups and photo-takers who want an hour of light installations without a long queue. It does not suit anyone sensitive to flashing light, loud sound or dark rooms.
Tripadvisor showed 4.4 out of 5 from 185 reviews and a rank of 38 among 484 fun and games listings in Dubai on the day we looked. Wafi City says 1.5 million visitors have come, which is its own claim. One Tripadvisor reviewer who had also been to teamLab Phenomena in Abu Dhabi wrote that AYA “doesn’t quite match it in terms of size or scale, but it absolutely holds its own”.
Crowds are the open question. One r/dubai poster asked about visiting House of Hype or AYA.
“has anyone been there in the past few days and how crowded was it?”
– r/dubai, 2026 (2 upvotes)
We could not retrieve replies to that thread, and the operator publishes no crowd levels. A separate r/UAE thread from April asked which is better, House of Hype or AYA, and drew one reply.
“Theyre both gimmicks but House of hype is more obnoxious about it”
– r/UAE, April 2026 (1 upvote)
That is one sceptical voice, not a verdict, and it names no ticket or date. Timed slots are the only lever a visitor controls, so pick one that is easy to reach.
Questions visitors ask
How much does AYA Universe Dubai cost?
A walk-in ticket costs AED 135 on the operator’s ticket page, read on 28 October 2026. Children under 3 enter free, and the passes run from AED 175 to AED 399.
Can I get a refund on an AYA ticket?
No. The FAQ says refunds are not allowed under any circumstances. Date or time changes are allowed up to 48 hours before the start, subject to availability.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
Yes, subject to availability. The FAQ recommends booking ahead because a timed slot may sell out, and a mobile ticket is enough, so you need not print it.
Is AYA suitable for children?
The operator says visitors of all ages are welcome, and children under 3 are free. The ball pit needs socks and a height of 1 metre or more.
Is AYA open late on Friday and Saturday?
On the operator’s site it closes at 12am on Friday and Saturday, with last entry one hour before. Wafi City’s own page gives an earlier close, so call before a late visit.
