Emirates ID Fine Check: Which Official Portal Shows What

7 Min Read

For an Emirates ID fine check there is no single official database. ICP’s guest Fines Inquiry offers residency or visa and accepts an Emirates ID number, GDRFA Dubai’s page checks fines on an immigration file, and the AED 20 a day late-renewal fine sits in ICP’s renewal service instead.

On 19 October 2026 we opened ICP’s guest fines form, its file validity form and its renewal service page. We also opened the GDRFA Dubai Fines Inquiry Service. We submitted nothing and entered no personal details. This is general information, not legal or immigration advice.

Emirates ID fine check: three kinds of fine, no single database

An Emirates ID fine can mean one of three different charges, and each lives with a different office. Match the fine to its row before opening a portal.

Kind of fine Authority Where we saw it Published rate
Late Emirates ID renewal ICP The identity card renewal service page AED 20 a day, up to AED 1,000
Residency or visa violation ICP The guest Fines Inquiry form and the Pay Fines card None printed on the form
Fine on a Dubai immigration file GDRFA Dubai The Fines Inquiry Service page None printed on the page
Traffic fine Police or traffic authority Not on either form; we did not read police portals Not checked

Neither form we read says it lists identity-card fines. Our overstay fine guide covers the visa side in more detail.

What ICP’s guest Fines Inquiry asks for

ICP’s smart services site lists Fines Inquiry among its public services, and the form opened for us without signing in. It offers two types, Residency and Visa, and four ways to search.

  • Emirate Unified Number, File No. or Emirates ID Number, each with nationality, date of birth and gender.
  • Passport information: passport number, passport type, passport expiry date, nationality, date of birth and gender.

A verify step comes before the search button. The same site has a Pay Fines card for violations of entry and residence laws, and a File Validity form that includes an Emirates ID type. The forms sit on ICP’s guest portal. Our visa status guide explains which authority handles which emirate.

What GDRFA Dubai’s Fines Inquiry asks for

GDRFA Dubai’s page says you can check fines on a personal file or on files under sponsorship. Search types are file number, UDB number, Emirates ID and passport number.

The default form, with file number selected, asks for a file type of resident or permit and a place of issue, then the file number, date of birth and gender. It ends with a security check and a submit button. The place of issue list names all seven emirates. We did not switch the search type, so the fields for an Emirates ID search are what one rival guide describes, not something we saw.

Where the AED 20 a day sits

ICP’s renewal page lists the late-renewal fine for residents as AED 20 for each day of delay, not exceeding AED 1,000, which by our arithmetic means the cap arrives after 50 days.

The same page lists an AED 20 daily fine, also capped at AED 1,000, for reporting a change in personal data later than 30 days. We found neither fine mentioned on the two search forms. Our Emirates ID renewal guide sets out the fee lines and the disagreement over when the late fine starts.

Where rival guides disagree

The ranking guides name five different places to look, and several treat an Emirates ID number as a master key. We read only the ICP and GDRFA pages.

  • dubailawyers.com sends you to an unnamed government fine portal, to the Abu Dhabi Police site, to TAMM and to MOHRE, all with an Emirates ID number.
  • fursahgcc.com offers two routes, the GDRFA website and the TAMM app.
  • uaeastra.com says there is no central Emirates ID database, and splits ICP renewal fines, GDRFA immigration fines and police traffic fines.

The last view matches what we saw. The first adds routes we could not open, so we report them as claims.

What we could not confirm

Several points stay open after our reading, because we submitted no form and the pages say little about what a completed lookup would return.

  • Whether either search shows a late-renewal fine on an identity card.
  • Whether GDRFA’s place of issue list returns files issued outside Dubai.
  • The exact fields of the GDRFA form once Emirates ID is chosen.
  • The MOHRE, TAMM and Abu Dhabi Police routes that rivals describe.
  • How long a new fine takes to appear, and any payment route beyond ICP’s Pay Fines card.

Quick answers on Emirates ID fines

How do I do an Emirates ID fine check?

First decide which fine you mean. ICP and GDRFA Dubai both accept an Emirates ID number as a search key, but each asks for more details and neither says it shows identity-card fines.

How much is the late Emirates ID renewal fine?

ICP lists AED 20 for each day of delay, up to AED 1,000. A change reported after 30 days draws the same rate and cap.

Does an Emirates ID search show traffic fines?

Neither official form we read mentions traffic fines. They belong to the police or traffic authority that issued them, and we did not read those portals.

Is GDRFA Dubai only for Dubai residents?

Its page says it checks fines on a personal file or a sponsored one. The place of issue list names all seven emirates, and we could not confirm what a non-Dubai file returns.

We read these pages on 19 October 2026 and will update the page if either authority changes its forms.
